Hello everyone, my name is Donna Gibson. My nickname is Blondie. I know it’s kind of a cheezy name but it stuck through out the years and I have learned to like it. Back in 1993 I was an exotic dancer and just trying to support my family just like many others. I worked hard and in my off time my husband Danny and I began learning to make web pages from a book, resulting in our first website which was Affections Adult Toys. After going through a divorce and a few years of the single life I remarried a wonderful man name Bruce. We had many goals for our life together and one of the big goals was for me to be able to quit my job as a dancer and work on the web business full time. I am not what would be considered young as far as age is concerned or conservative. I guess I have never grown up when it come to having a good time, sexy fashion & high heel shoes!!
Bruce and I started out in 1998 putting together Sinsuality, our first website. We wanted to share with others the things we had found that were making our relationship into the romantic adventure we had both always dreamed about. As time has gone by we continued to add to our site and from this we expanded with Lace And Lingerie offering sexy lingerie and clubwear (I always loved getting dressed up and going out.) From there we started Heels For You. (I figured we needed some high heels to wear with all those sexy dresses and lingerie.)
In 2000 it finally happened, I retired from my job at the club and started putting my full time efforts into my businesses… both with Danny and with Bruce. I worked full time helping Danny run the Affections website plus taking care of the Sinsuality collections of sites that Bruce and I had put together. Danny handled the Affections web site design plus BeautyWithn. I handle the customer service and promotion for Affections. Bruce and I did all the web design, customer service and promotional efforts for Sinsuality, Lace and Lingerie, Heels For You, Super Sexy High Heels, and Warehouse Photo (this was Bruce’s business before he closed the store in 2007)
In April of 2003 Bruce, Danny and I combined all our efforts and formed a partnership - Affections. We lost Danny the end of September 2003 to a sudden heart attack. I lost my best friend of more than 20 years, Bruce lost his best friend As hard as the end of 2003 was for all of us, we have all tried to move forward and continue on with our dream and that is providing you with the best information and the best merchandise available to help you for your romantic life.
Since then we have continued to grow Affections into 11 websites. We are continually learning about our product lines and what going on in our industry so that we can give our customers all the information we can find on any give subject. We still do all the work on the websites ourselves which is a really big job There are so many changes and new ways of doing things it seems to be a constant learning experience. We not only deal with the manufacturers but Bruce and I also deal with our customers daily tryng not only to make them happy but also to answer their questions. We go to trade show in Las Vegas as well as the Dallas Apparel Mart trying to fine what we consider the best in sexy clothing and high heels shoes but also our adult line, for enhancing sexual relationships. I have also begin writing articles so we can past along some of the information, not only to our customers, but anyone else interested.
So here we are today… as you can probably see beside my children and grandchildren, my work IS my life and I love it. We will just continue to grow the business with more websites and a diversity of merchandise. If it makes you look sexy or fills your exciting sexual desires, then I know I am going to like it and hopefully you will too!
